로키스멤버로선 할러데이 마지막 기회..?


                              너무 좋아하지마라 콜로라도~!  할러데이 뒤엔....

MattHolliday cannot become a free agent until after the 2009 season. Thatmeans he's under the team's control through salary arbitration for thenext two years. His salary is sure to jump to around $10 million nextseason on a one-year deal. Where it gets tricky is after the '08season. Would they consider trading him - as they did Jason Jennings -or let the year play out and risk losing him for draft picks as a freeagent. I talked to owner Dick Monfort last week about Holliday andposed the question: Will you try to lock him up long term? "I don'tknow," Monfort said. With Holliday, he's in line for a $140 millioncontract. As for Tulowitzki, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Rockiestry to lock him up long term after this season, similar to what theydid with Jeff Francis last year. Whether, he'd take it is anotherstory. -- Denver Post

맷 할러데이는 2009년시즌이후에  FA자격을 얻을수 있다.  그것은 앞으로 2년동안은 연봉조정을 통해서 팀의 통제하에 있다는 것이다. 다음시즌  1년계약으로 그의 연봉은 천만달러정도로 뛰어오를것이 확실하다.  롹키스는 그를 트레이드하는 것을 고려하고 있을까 - 제이슨 제닝스경우처럼 - 아니면  그냥 쓰고 그를 잃는 위험을 감수하고 드래프트픽을 얻느냐.  나는 롹키스 오너  Dick Monfort 와 할러데이에 대해 얘기를 나눴고 그 질문을 했다. : 할러데이를 장기계약으로 잡으실겁니까 ?  " 모르겠어요" 롹키스 오너는 말했다.  할러데이를 잡으려면 1억4천만불이 요구될수도 있다. 툴로위츠키에 관해서라면 이번시즌후 롹키스가 그를 장기계약으로 잡는다해도 놀랄일이 아니다. 지난시즌 제프 프랜시스에게 했던 것처럼.

보라스가 이미 엄청난 액수로 들이대고 있기 때문에.....  힘들지 않을까...
롹키스의 트리플 H 가 정말 멋진데....
